About the Founder

BARR (LADY) CHINYERE GBUGU, Ambassador MDG,
DIRECTOR, GOOD LEARNING KIDDIES SCHOOL LAGOS AND GOOD LEARNING ACADEMY, ISIOKWE ACHI.

Barr (Lady) Chinyere Gbugu had her primary education at Christ Church Uwani Enugu and Community School Amankpunato Achi, she had her secondary education at Girls Secondary School Achi, Teacher Training Grade II at Holy Rosary College Uwani Enugu, and NCE at Warri College of Education. She acquired her first degree from Bendel State University, Ekpoma with Second-Class Upper Division in
Home Economic Education in 1987. She obtained a masters degree in Education Administration from University of Lagos. Being the kind of person she is that always thirsts for knowledge, she gained admission into the University of Lagos in 1999 to study law. She was called to the Bar in 2007.

While in Japan where she wedded, she acquired a diploma in dress-making. In Italy she had diploma in Italian Cookery and Ceramic Design.
On her return from Japan Barr lady Gbugu taught at Aunty Ayo Domestic center in Lagos in 1979-1980. By the end of 1980 she left with the husband to Milan Italy. Barr (Lady) Gbugu was employed by Federal Ministry of Education in 1991 and deployed as Home Economics Teacher in FGC Warri and transferred to Queens College Yaba Lagos in 1992. She retired in 2005. Before her retirement, she opened a private school in Lagos called Good Learning Kiddies School that runs creche, Nursery and Primary School. In the year 2008, she founded Good Learning Academy Isiokwe Achi. The school runs Nursery, Primary and Secondary Education. The school was established under Chinyere Gbugu Charity and Education Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization. They train children of widows, orphans and indigent children free of charge. Barr (Lady) Gbugu has sponsored and trained a lot of women and students to university level. She is a great philanthropist. She is well known in her community and beyond for her good works. She is a friend to the widows and less privileged.

In 2011 Lady Gbugu was awarded in Ghana by United Nations Agency honorary Ambassador of Millennium Development Goals (MDG)

She has made a lot of contributions to the church. She is the vice president of home and abroad meeting in her home church. She belongs to organizations like International Federation of Home Economists (IFHE), Nigeria Bar Association, International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), American Bar Association (ABA), National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Greater Awgu Leadership Forum (GALF),etc. She has received so many awards. She is a great motivator. She is a woman activist and a politician.

She is happily married to Sir (Engr.) Timothy Gbugu and the marriage is blessed with five children-four boys and one girl.
